IMPLEMENTING GUIDELINES FOR THE GLOBAL ACADEMY SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Objective

Its primary objective is to enable and ensure deserving student especially those with limited financial capacity to receive a culinary or baking education at Global Academy.

General Framework
  • The 2019 GA Scholarship Program for partial and full grants is provided by Global Academy. The program will be implemented by 2019 for scheduled evening classes only.
  • The program implementing rules and regulations are issued as follows.
Eligibility
  • Filipino citizen of good moral character
  • No history of major offense
  • No previous failing grades or dropped subjects
  • Completion of Junior High, K12 Graduates , Vocational Graduates, College Levels, College Graduates and Working Individuals
  • Family’s combined gross annual income below P300,000
Requirements
  • Duly accomplished application form
  • A copy of High School Report Card, OR Tech Voc TOR, College TOR / printed copy of grades showing GWA or GPA
  • A copy of Income Tax Return or latest Tax Exemption Certificate of parents, guardians or its equivalent
  • Character Reference – The applicant should provide 3 character reference names. These must not be a relative of the applicant.
  • Completely filled up form containing details of assets and liabilities
  • Issuance of bond upon approval
Original documents must be presented for verification upon submission of the application. Failure to comply may conclude application to be denied.

Scholarship Grants

Partial discount or full scholarships will be granted by Global Academy in the evening classes of DPCA Program or Baking Program. 
  • 9 Full scholarships with bond of Php 15,000.00
    • General Average of 80% and above
    • 75% passing rate for Global Academy's aptitude test  
    • With 3 character references, one from school or employer whichever is applicable
    • Financial capacity
  • Partial scholarships with bond of Php 15,000.00
    • General Average of 80% and above
    • Global Academy's aptitude test 
    • With 3 character references, one from school or employer whichever is applicable
    • Financial capacity
Admission processing fee and medical fee are NOT included in the scholarship.

Terms and Conditions 
  • Enroll in either the DPCA Program or the DBPA Program
  • GPA must not fall below 2.0 (80)
  • Participate in the Student Assistance program as may be determined by Global Academy
    • Full Scholars – 60 hours
    • Partial Scholars – 30 hours
  • Fully complies with Global Academy laws and regulations and abides by GA code of conducts.
  • The agreement shall be terminated for the following reasons:
    • Failure in two levels under the in-house training
    • Gross violation of the host’s school’s policies and regulations
    • Conviction by a Philippine court for any crime/offense committed

GA FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION FORM

This application must include the following:
  1. Personal statement of assets and liabilities of parents / legal guardians
  2. A copy of High School Report Card, OR Tech Voc TOR, College TOR / printed copy of grades showing GWA or GPA
  3. A copy of Income Tax Return or latest Tax Exemption Certificate of parents, guardians or its equivalent
  4. Character Reference – The applicant should provide 3 character reference names. These must not be a relative of the applicant.                
* Original documents must be presented for verification upon submission of the application. Failure to comply may conclude application to be denied.      
* Admission and medical fees are not part of the scholarship program and a bond is required apon approval.

All fields are required. If there is a part that is not applicable, please indicate "Not Applicable" or "Unsure."
