2019 Spuds and Dairy Culinary Cup
This is a subtitle for your new post
Dynamic Duos of Chef plus Culinary Student competed in the spectacular 2019 Spuds and Dairy Culinary Cup last September!
Global Academy did not miss this prestigious chance to pit one of its students to work, learn, and compete side-by-side with a Philippine culinary great and against Philippine culinary schools! Our very own Superior Diploma II student Grace Baban joined skills, techniques, and passions with her coach, St. Luke’s Quezon City Executive Chef Kit Carpio. A spud and a dairy dish were created under five meal categories - Appetizer, Brunch, Main, Dessert, and Bar Food. At the starting signal, all 10 competing pairs jumped to action. Up for grabs for Best U.S. Potato dish is P100,000 cash and the winner for the Best California Dairy wins an immersion trip to the Culinary Institute of America!
Among the culinary stars who officially judged the entries are Mr. Ryan Bedford – Agricultural Attaché of USDA, Mr. Rey Co – President of Hightower, Inc., Chef Sau Del Rosario – President of Culinarya Pampanga, Ms. Nina Daza-Puyat – Lifestyle Columnist of Manila Bulletin, and Editor of Appetite Magazine, and Chef Myrna Segismundo – Chairperson of the National Food Showdown.
Thank you 2019 Spuds and Dairy Culinary Cup for this enjoyably-exciting experience! Until the next!
