Straight out of High School, Margaret Gutierrez enrolled in the Superior Diploma in Modern Cuisines (SDCM) course at Global Academy Alabang. Today, she plays a vital role in the bustling kitchen of a Vietnamese Restaurant in Australia.
Chef Margaret shares, “I decided to go to culinary school right out of high school because I already had a plan for the future. 16-year old me sat down and really asked herself, ‘What do you want?’ I answered from my heart of hearts that i want to be a chef.
Having a solid, reachable goal at a young age has impacted me in several ways. One, reaching and surpassing those goals gives you room for new goals. In this way, I was able to always keep moving. I still carry that with me today.
