Chef Profile: Kat Pascual

Six years into her stay at Global Academy, Chef Anna Katrina “Kat” Pascual has become its Baking and Pastry Arts Program Head and New Programs Manager.

Prior to achieving this supervisory position in the Academy, Chef Kat has had years of mentorship by her superiors who got her feet wet onto the joys and tumbles of baking and pastry arts. One could say, she was learning as she was teaching.

With her new headships, things have diversed, yet this leader and mentor has not withheld the desire to learn. “From just being responsible for delivering demos and lectures, I am now tasked to see the whole program to its entirety,” Chef Kat shares. “My responsibilities have expanded outside of just teaching to developing new PTE programs and making sure that all the programs under my department are running smoothly in all four Global Academy locations.

To me it is an achievement when any of my students make something of themselves and reach great heights in their career. Imagine hearing someone call your name in some random street only to find a student from years past, to hear that former student tell you about his or her achievements while thanking you for the teachings and guidance you gave that helped him or her achieve this. To me that is success – being able to lift another individual with what I do."
