The WorldChefs Global Chefs Challenge!

The Qualifying Final Asia round for the Worldchefs Global Chef Challenge will be held in Bangkok, Thailand this year! This competition is a special highlight of Thaifex 2019 – Asia’s largest culinary challenge which runs from May 28 to June 1, 2019.
As members of Les Toques Blanches Philippines, Global Academy is sending two of its best, world-class representatives to pit against the other professionals and young chefs of the region in 2 of the 3 semi final categories of this WACS-endorsed competition!
Chef Gerhard Gendrano, Best Chef in the Philippine Culinary Cup 2017 and multi-medalled in several WACS-accredited culinary competitions, vies to represent Asia in the Global Chefs Challenge category.
22 year-old Global Academy Student Greizel Faye Andot contends with the region’s best to be Asia’s delegate in the Global Young Chefs Challenge - The Hans Bueschkens Trophy. She will be coached by Global Academy Vice President, Chef Michael Yap.
The semi-final winners will be the Asia representatives in the WorldChefs 2020 and the world finals for the Young Chefs Challenge in St. Petersburg, Russia!
