The Road To The WorldChefs' Global Chefs Challenge and Global Young Chefs Challenge 2019!
Les Toques Blanches Philippines sends Global Academy’s Chef Gerhard Gendradno and student Greizel Faye Andot off to the Qualifying Final Asia round for the Worldchefs Global Chef Challenge! This will be held in Bangkok, Thailand this year - a special highlight of Thaifex from May 8 to June 1, 2019.
Chef Gerhard Gendrano, Program and Faculty Director of Global Academy, Best Chef in the Philippine Culinary Cup 2017 and multi-medalled in several WACS-accredited culinary competitions, vies to represent Asia in the Global Chefs Challenge category.
22 year-old Greizel Faye Andot, a Superior Diploma in International Cuisines student, contends with the region’s best to be Asia’s delegate in the Global Young Chefs Challenge - The Hans Bueschken Trophy. She will be coached by Global Academy Vice President, Chef Michael Yap.
The semi-final winners will be the Asia representatives in the WorldChefs 2020 and the world finals for the Young Chefs Challenge in St. Petersburg, Russia!
