Global Academy, Cavite’s Feeding Program and Relief Operations
Students and Chef Instructors of Global Academy, Cavite shared of themselves to their co-city dwellers who were most affected by the Taal eruption. Almost immediately after the unfortunate incident, a call for donations was done and was responded to in cash and kind.
The day started with the Global Academy kitchens in full buzz, making sure to provide delicious, nutritious sustenance. This same group of volunteers brought the food and gifts to the stricken community, and were met with joy - somehow alleviating the feeling they knew they would have with what their eyes would see.
To a community that is uncertain as to whether or not they will still have a house to go home to, a day’s attention to their needs was evidently precious. Families of the two barangays were not hesitant to show their excitement and appreciation for the food and basic needs which were given to them.
The devastation is real. They are not out of the woods yet. The Global Academy team left with the determination to help more communities, thankful for their God-given skills and the generous hearts who made the day possible.
