Internship Establishment Testimony from Mama Lou's

From July to October this year, Carl experienced a memorable
internship at Mama Lou’s, spending day after day in an exchange of acquired kitchen knowledge with the restaurant’s kitchen crew. Observing this intern’s performance is Ms Aileen Valdez, Restaurant Manager of the Mama Lou’s Group. She has this to say about Carl and his fellow Global Academy interns: “Very eager sila matuto and are willing to share their knowledge sa ibang staff. Respectful sila and very down to earth.”
With this admirable attitude comes notable performance. Ms Valdez continues, “They are already familiar with the basic food preparation, meal presentation and in maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen area. They are dependable and are good team players.”

Mama Lou’s was born out of a real kitchen, a modest one in a family home inside BF Homes, Las Pinas. Founded by Richard and the late Malou Tremblay, the restaurant opened their doors to welcome guests in 2010. What started as a passion for serving home-cooked dishes has now become Mama Lou’s Group comprising of two Italian concepts— Mama Lou’s Italian Kitchen and Nonna’s Pasta & Pizzeria. In its expansion, Mama Lou’s Group continues to be a family-run business, staying true to its roots by keeping its promise of providing guests the comforting, memorable experience of coming home to warm food prepared by a loved one.
