Chef Anjo Dela Cruz
Chef Anjo’s two hats expose her values for worthy contributions both to the culinary industry and the community. While she trains individuals in the world-class ways of the Pastry Arts, she leads the Global Academy team in its social responsibility activities to the community.
As is common to all Global Academy mentors, Chef Anjo finds fulfillment in her students’ growth and industry maturity. “I find fulfillment when I see my students make their mark in the industry – a successful internship here or abroad, victory in competitions, employment in a good hotel and/or restaurant, business ownership, and the like.” To realize this, she finds creative ways to get her training and skills principles onto a diverse set of protegees. This same creativity applies to the outreach activities which she spearheads, leading a team to fulfill the diversified needs of the communities that Global Academy helps.
To her students who will go out into the professional kitchens and make their marks in the industry, Chef Anjo has this aspiration - “My hope is for them to carry on with the core values of Global Academy at heart – Passion, Reliability, Integrity, Commitment and Excellence. Wherever they go, whatever they do, these values should serve as their moral compass.”
